For CTT V3 has any one used and external WIFI antenna if so which antenna and how connected.
We use Proxicast antennas, either directional yagis (use short run of coaxial cable connected to SMA-UFL extender to the WiFi modem on the SS) or omni antenna for shorter distances (uses reversed-polarity SMA-UFL connector)
We also use the Proxicast yagis, they are good for both cell and wifi which is a nice bonus. We run coax from the antenna to the station enclosure box and enter the box with a Type N to SMA male bulkhead. The SMA end connects to the J22 female end on the station board. Then we use a UFL jumper to jump from the wifi modem UFL connector to the J22 UFL connector.
Thanks for help. I keep learning about CTT V3 stations but have much more to learn. Wish there was a class for us electronic type on CTT receivers.
Thanks for help. Good think that pointed out reversed polarity I might have missed that. I do check my antennas for. That UFL connector is way too small for old eyes like mine but did get it connected. Still learning.
