Hi Bart, the Sensorgnome image is built on a 32-bit rPi OS image and I believe the rpi5 requires a 64-bit OS? I have not bought an rpi5 so far and have not looked into it beyond reading the headlines when it was introduced so I’m not sure. Are there any benefits to rpi5 over rpi3/4 for Sensorgnomes?
I’m not sure about 32/64bits, but I tried setting check_os=0 in config.txt but it did not start after that, so I switched back to a RPI4.
I suppose performance won’t be a reason to upgrade, however availability has been a everlasting problem with first Beaglebones and then the RPI3. And even now I get a “Out of stock! Delivery date unfortunately unknown due to global chip shortage.” message when selecting a RPI4 at my default store. (I can get is elsewhere though, so no problems yet)
