Hi All,
I’m seeking feedback on two different products related to calibration of Motus stations.
The first is a new calibration protocol for terrestrial Motus stations. The protocol is being developed with funding from the New Jersey Research and Monitoring Initiative (RMI) as part of an ABC-led project to extend New Jersey’s Motus network. We are seeking feedback on this protocol by October 24th. Written feedback can be left directly on the working draft as comments or suggested edits.
The second product is the calibration protocol for offshore Motus stations originally funded by New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and published in 2023 as part of a broader set of offshore Motus guidance. It’s now being updated along with the rest of the guidance for deploying Motus stations offshore as part of an effort being led by the Regional Wildlife Science Collaborative (RWSC) bird and bat tracking working group. We’re asking for feedback on the offshore Motus calibration guidance (Appendix E) by September 30. Written feedback can be provided directly on the working draft of the calibration guidance.
Please reach out to Zoe.korpi@briwildlife.org with feedback, questions, or comments about updates to any of these products or to set up a call to discuss them further. Any and all feedback is appreciated! Many thanks!
