For example, would this work?

[replying to the motus list]

In theory, any Chromebook should be able to talk to a sensorgnome via
USB cable, and without even installing beaglebone drivers.
In practice, there might be some configuration tweaks required
on the Chrombook for this.

Has anyone on the list tried this?

Cheers,

We have used a chromebook with the same idea in mind for checking and downloading motus data. Unfortunately these chrome software are really designed to be used with Internet. We had to plug in an Internet turbostick and log on to Google to be able to get it to work. So not a good idea for the field. Buy a cheap used windows based laptop instead.
