How to remove false postive from motus wesite

Is there away to have false positives from Motus website. I have five detection of a Dunlin in western Iowa this January. I know there is away to remove false positives form download data. I am referring about the public motus website. We have a KIOSK in our nature center that downloads date from Motus.org. This KIOSK is accessible by the public. The public is often confused when a rare shore bird show up in Iowa in January. I do not know how to contact Birds Canada for the answer.

I have accomplished that in the past by emailing motus@birdscanada.org, and they remove the false positives.

You can try filtering using your download via the ‘motusFilter’ variable/column. It is a variable that is included in your download. It’s binomial and setting it to 1, usually removed the pings that seem out of place. Hope this helps.

You can send the email to motus@birdscanada.org. (We added that link to the text as well)
