I wanted to set up a system I could run on a cron schedule to download my Motus data and alert me when new data came in. While I’ve been using Motus for a while, I’m pretty green when it comes to interfacing with the data via the R package…so I used Claude AI to vibe code my way through it. It has some bugs (alerts don’t point to actual data, but they do let you know what projects had new hits, etc.) but it’s useful (for me). I built it using a silicon Mac so it’s currently Mac specific- but I’m sure could easily be modified to work with any other OS (if you’re like me, you’d just clone the repo, share it with an AI agent, and have it rewrite it
