Connecting to 5 GHz WiFi with Raspberry Pi

Hi everyone,

Has anyone found a way to get a SensorGnome to connect to wifi networks on the 5 GHz bandwidth? It seems like where I work (mostly in Ontario, Canada but currently in Belize), the 2.4GHz connections are becoming less available to get towers online with wifi.

Thanks,

Derek,

The onboard WiFi on a Raspberry Pi 3 does not support 5GHz WiFi, but you can use a USB dongle that supports 5GHz and connect that way.

@myotistar a little late, but Raspberry Pi 4 can connect to 5 GHz WiFi.
