Hoping to get some pointers on the best way to go about uploading data that I’ve downloaded to my computer from a SensorStation not connected to the internet. It’s a dual mode station, and I have no problem uploading the SG data to Motus by zipping the SGdata folder and uploading. How do I go about uploading the 434 data? Do the same process with the “rotated” folder?
Hi Nick, you can upload both the 434 and 166 data in the same archive.
As with SG uploads, it’s best to restrict each archive to just one recevier serial number. The name of that archive doesn’t matter, though it’s always best to give it a descriptive name. Partly so that it’s organized on your computer, and partly so that you can recognize it when you receive the “processing complete” email from Motus.
Within that archive, files are parsed based on the filenames so defintely don’t mofify any of those! For dual mode SS, the files are then sent either to CTT’s server or the Motus server according to the file name. There is a diagram of the data pipiline here if you’re interested.
Non-essential CTT files, such as log files, are simply ignored during the parsing process, and files that have already been processed are ignored further downstream.
