The Motus station on Trunk Island in Bermuda has been damaged by storms and is in need of repair. Unfortunately, we are unaware of when the damage occurred; so, have no way of knowing how long the station has been down. I will announce when it is back up and working.
Thanks for the update, Patrick. Interestingly, it does seem to still be powered on and sending “data”. At least, The deployment timeline shows GPS fixes and sporadic activity on the antennas right up to today!
Sorry, you are correct, the station is still powered. There are two sets of antennae on the tower. The lower array is made up of 5 Yagi antennae and four of those have downed cables. The upper array of antennae is still intact but when I logged into the station directly virtually no activity was being detected; but, I’m pleased to see it isn’t completely dead. It’s a 9 m tower on a small island so access is an issue and the ability to get to the top.
